Atlantic City is set to welcome yet another sportsbook to its array of offerings.
The launch of the sportsbook at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is expected to take place in early 2019.
As stated in a press release, Hard Rock International has recently formed a partnership with Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG), a company based in Malta. In this collaboration, GiG will provide a wide-ranging sportsbook solution for Hard Rock International, accessible through multiple channels.
The company announced in October that after two years of platform development, it had signed a letter of intent with Hard Rock, establishing them as their first American client.
The two companies already have a partnership in the online gambling industry.
The agreement includes online gambling, in-person sports betting at the counter, and the availability of self-service terminals at Hard Rock.
According to Kresimir Spajic, the senior vice president of online gaming at Hard Rock International, the imminent debut of the Hard Rock Sportsbook in New Jersey represents a major step forward in solidifying a leading role in the sports betting and online gaming sector, both domestically and internationally.

Hard Rock is set to join the list of establishments in Atlantic City that offer New Jersey sports betting, alongside Ocean Resort Casino, Golden Nugget, Bally’s Atlantic City, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, and Tropicana Atlantic City.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement recently unveiled impressive figures for sports betting. In October alone, the sports betting handle reached a staggering $260,711,301 million, contributing to a cumulative handle of $597,368,230 in just over four months. It is worth mentioning that online platforms were responsible for generating a noteworthy $300,949,824 of this total amount.
Recently, there was an update to the NFL’s policy on commercial gaming, which now permits Hard Rock’s upcoming sportsbook operation in Atlantic City to function without any limitations.
The Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock International reached a historic agreement in 2016, spanning 18 years, which established the latter as the official stadium naming partner for the NFL team. GiG has already introduced platforms for both Hard Rock’s website and online casino, starting from July 13.
