Palms Casino Resort Opens With New Rewards Program For Las Vegas

Written By Marc Meltzer on April 28, 2022

After being closed in 2020, Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has finally reopened its doors. The renowned casino hotel, situated just off the Vegas Strip, now boasts a fresh owner and operator, along with an exciting new casino rewards program exclusively designed for Las Vegas.

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians (San Manuel) will mark a significant milestone with the opening of Palms, their first Vegas casino. Following the approval to operate Palms in December, San Manuel wasted no time in upgrading the property to meet the latest standards of 2022. Having acquired Palms from Station Casinos in early 2021, it is evident that the casino will no longer participate in Station Casinos Boarding Pass rewards program.

San Manuel Tribe holds the distinction of being the first Tribe to own and operate a Las Vegas casino. On the other hand, although the Mohegan Tribe was the initial casino operator in Las Vegas, they do not possess ownership of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, which is where the Mohegan Sun casino is situated.

Club Serrano, the players reward program, will now be offered at Palms, the second US casino owned and operated by the Tribe, adding to their successful and popular casino in southern California.

Palms and Club Serrano will establish a connection between San Manuel’s Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, CA, and a Las Vegas casino.

The rewards program partnership in Las Vegas stands out from the rest due to its unique connection with California casino properties, which is not commonly found among most Las Vegas casinos.

The majority of Palms patrons are required to register for a Club Serrano rewards card. Certain existing Palms rewards accounts will be automatically converted to Club Serrano memberships.

To obtain a new rewards card at Palms, individuals must possess an active Club Serrano account and card specifically from California. It is advisable for most guests visiting the establishment to carry a government ID as a precautionary measure. Regardless of whether a player is printing an existing rewards card, the presentation of an ID is mandatory. It is always wiser to prioritize safety rather than regret later on.

Las Vegas Club Serrano rewards program tiers

Similar to other Las Vegas rewards programs, Club Serrano features several tiers that provide various advantages to its players. With a total of four tiers available to all members and an exclusive tier accessible only by invitation.

  • Classic: Everyone
  • The tier points for Emerald range from 50,000 to 124,999.
  • Amber has accumulated between 125,000 and 249,999 Tier Points.
  • To achieve the Diamond status, you need to accumulate 250,000 Tier Points or above.
  • Turquoise: Invite only

Like many other tiered casino rewards programs, the advantages of being a member increase as players progress through the tiers. When Palms first opened, they decided to align their tiers with other Las Vegas casino rewards programs.

All Club Serrano members enjoy the advantage of receiving free self-parking and valet services. However, it is when members reach the Amber tier that the perks truly become enticing. Las Vegas Club Serrano points

Club Serrano at Palms exclusively awards Tier Points, Slot Points, and Earned Points through gambling activities, distinguishing it from other Las Vegas rewards programs that also allocate points based on overall spending within the property.

Points can be earned by players when they use the Club Serrano card to insert it into the reader at a machine game or by presenting the card to the dealer while purchasing chips for a table game.

Players can earn Tier Points by playing either table games or slot machines. From January 1 to December 31, players have the opportunity to accumulate Tier Points. These points will reset at the start of each calendar year, allowing players to strive for higher tier status as mentioned earlier.

Slot Points can solely be obtained through participation in slot machines and similar machine games, such as video poker and keno. By accumulating Slot Points, players can then exchange them for complimentary play on machine games.

You can earn rewards from slot machines and table games, which can be used at various outlets within Palms such as food and beverage, retail, and hotel establishments.

Earning Club Serrano points in Las Vegas

At Palms, players will earn 1 Slot Point and 1 Tier Point for every $1 they wager on slot machines. Similar to other rewards programs, Club Serrano Tier Points for table games at Palms are determined by factors such as the type of game, average bet, and duration of play.

The two San Manuel properties have distinct variations in their video poker systems. At Palms, video poker players will earn 1 Slot Point and 1 Tier Point for every $4 wagered. In contrast, at Yaamava Casino, players will receive an equivalent amount of points for every $2 wagered on video poker.

At Palms, players have the option to convert their Slot Points into Free Play. Through the program, players can exchange 500 Slot Points for $1 worth of Free Play.
