Novibet, Caesars make US online casinos deal
According to a press release issued on Monday, Caesars and Novibet have entered into a long-term agreement that encompasses online casino and online sports betting in New Jersey. The agreement requires Novibet to remain committed for a minimum of ten years.
According to New Jersey law, it is necessary for Novibet to find a partner that operates a brick-and-mortar casino in New Jersey, like Caesars, in order to secure the required licensure, as highlighted in the release.
Novibet currently runs online casino platforms in various European markets. Although New Jersey could be its first jurisdiction in the US, it will not be the first in North America. According to the press release, Novibet aims to introduce its online casino product in Mexico and Ontario later this year.
The release mentions that the launch in New Jersey is expected to take place in 2025, suggesting that it may not be exclusive to residents of New Jersey.
Novibet’s ambitions include online casinos in other US states
Novibet recently revealed a market access agreement in Pennsylvania, exclusively for their online casino license. They have no current plans to provide online poker or sports betting in Pennsylvania. Furthermore, there has been no indication of Novibet’s interest in Michigan or West Virginia.
Novibet has confirmed that they are actively pursuing agreements for online casino play in five additional US states, as stated in the March statements.
